Pope Francis visits Turkey, condemns religious extremism

Pope Francis met with the president of Turkey in a rare visit to the Muslim country.  The Pope condemned religious extremism and ISIS’ persecution of Christians in Syria and Iraq.  Pope Francis, during his three-day visit to Turkey, has prayed at Istanbul's Blue Mosque. Bowing his head and clasping his hands, Pope Francis prayed inside the Blue Mosque in Istanbul on Saturday as he sought to reach out to moderate Muslims - a day after condemning the fanaticism of Isil and other terrorist groups.  More pics after the cut

David Beckham Involved in Car Crash After Picking Up Son

 David Beckham and his 16 year-old son Brooklyn were involved in a car crash Saturday in England ... and luckily, they both avoided serious injury.

According to reports ... the crash went down after Beckham picked up his 16 year-old from soccer practice -- he plays for a popular youth club team -- and we're told the father/son duo was shaken up.

We're also told both passengers in the other car were unharmed as well.

Black Friday protests over Michael Brown in Ferguson

 

 Protesters in Missouri staged a Black Friday protest in a St. Louis mall, demanding justice for Michael Brown.

Protests in Ferguson had dwindled in size and intensity in the days after the grand jury decision, then gained renewed energy on Friday as demonstrators temporarily shut down a St. Louis-area mall and turned up in force at other shopping areas across the country.

Kano mosque blasts: 92 dead at one hospital morgue

Heard at least more than 92 people have been confirmed  dead and also more that 126 injured on Friday when two suicide bombers blew themselves up and gunmen opened fire during weekly prayers at a mosque of one of Nigeria’s top Islamic leaders.

The attack at the Grand Mosque in Kano, the biggest city in the mainly Muslim north of the country, came just as Friday prayers had got under way.

 The only daughter of former Super Eagles ace striker Julius Aghahowa, Isabel Aghahowa, recently released her first book - a work of fiction titled The Ellegers, and she's just 13 years old. Her birthday is actually today. Happy birthday Isabel.

"My friends had a magazine with Rihanna on the cover. He held it up to my face and was like 'You look like her!'", she told Mail Online. "I wasn't really sure. She was glammed up in the magazine and here I was in my school uniform.

The reality star has been pretty much live tweeting her kitchen shenanigans today, and is gushing with thanks on the annual holiday.
And now she's added a snap of the finished product - a VERY neat photo at that.

She wrote: "A sneak peak of my craziness today I know you see my OCD in high gear when you look at my cookie jars. I have a problem... I know... but I like everything neat and in its place. This kind of stuff makes me SO happy!! #HappyThanksgiving."

Having had her hair braided in preparation, Khloe wrote earlier on: "Already been cooking for hours! I started some dishes yesterday and I'm still going strong. I love to cook! HappyThanksgiving my loves."

She then added: "Im hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house 4 my fam! This is a first. We always go2 my mama's house, so this year I'm really really excited."

Loving George Pitman, 77, kept a week-long bedside vigil after Pat, his wife of 55-years, was admitted to hospital with a shadow on her lung.

The great grandfather was seriously ill himself but ignored advice from doctors to go to a different hospital for treatment - and remained steadfast at his wife's side.

Nurses prepared a bed alongside 77-year-old Pat, where George could be treated, but as he was wheeled in it became clear his wife was in her final moments.

Son who chopped up his dad and used his body parts as TV stand is convicted of murder

 A son who killed his father then chopped up his body with saws has been found guilty of murder.

Nathan Robinson, 27, was told he faces a life sentence after putting William Spiller’s body parts in storage boxes and using them as a stand for his TV.

Robinson shared a flat with his 48-year-old father, Winchester crown court was told.
Judge Mr Justice Griffith Williams said: “There is only one sentence I can pass on you and that is one of life imprisonment.

Nigeria ‘ll will not break up —Kumuyi

 

 Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has said that Nigeria would not break up as a result of the outcome of the forthcoming 2015 general elections.

Kumuyi spoke at the Eiyen Nkorin Camp of the church yesterday during an interactive session with journalists on the commencement of a three-day crusade which began on Tuesday.

He said: ‘’Nigeria, will not break up,that is what God told me and I believe Him. The consequences of the disintegration of the country is enormous and we should not contemplate it.

 We should be constructive in our criticisms, to enable them do more. We should not just be criticising our leaders as if they have not done anything.

3 men attempt to force baby out of 8-month pregnant lover’s womb

In  Jigawa State , Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have apprehended three men for allegedly attempting to pull out the baby from the womb of an eight-month pregnant woman at Gusau quarters in Gumel Local Government.

State Commandant of the corps, Dr. Muhammed Gidado, said when his officers got to the scene of the incident, one of the suspects was holding the pregnant woman by the neck, another held her legs, while the third attempted to pull out the baby.

He said the lady, identified as Maryam Muhammed, currently on admission in an unnamed hospital, admitted that she had been having affairs with the three men.

The suspects confessed that the pregnancy belonged to them and they had told her to abort it, but that she refused.

The suspects, Adamu Usman Barma, 31; Fawas Bala, 28; and Buhari Ahmed, 29, were said to be the 20-year-old woman’s lovers.
